This map from www.railmaponline.com/airfields
Three RAF airfields were constructed in Rutland during the late 1930s and early 1940s: Cottesmore, North Luffenham and Woolfox Lodge (to the east of the A1 near Pickworth). These links are to Wikipedia pages for each location.
Second World War pillboxes survive at Hambleton (by the south shore of Rutland Water), Langham, Lyndon, Morcott and Whissendine (on Teigh Lane). These links are to online photographs for each location.
There may be more as there does not seem to be a 'definitive' list online.
Women's Land Army camp and POW camp
Along Scales Dyke in Lyddington a camp for the 'Land Girls' was created in 1939. Subsequently it was used as a prisoner of war camp.
