A courtship of only sixteen hours In the Sun newspaper of 11 December 1794 under the heading of County News, Leeds, December 8th occurs this paragraph :- "On Sunday 6th. ult. after a courtship of only sixteen hours the banns of marriage were published for the first time in the parish church of Wymeswold,Leicestershire between Joseph Hitherley and Sarah Leake, both of this parish, whose joint age amounts to 140 years."
